<span>A sandwich structure with an auxetic core is promising in improving the performance of a by implying as its to combine advantages two structures, e.g., structure’s superior ability flexural and shear resistance, localizing damage, densification phenomena. This paper discusses finite element modeling procedure simulate heterogeneous re-entrant core. The material face unidirectional carbon fiber reinforced polymer (UD CFRP) polylactic acid (PLA). model subjected low-velocity impact loading run through ABAQUS/Explicit software. We found that we developed here could up elastic region identify which had failed. However, it not fully resemble represent from reference, where fracture or damage does occur. can be further improved strategy, especially composite compatible properties all required sectors, damaged sections, are strictly necessary.</span>
